Please do not distribute mods without author’s consent. Best to let original author fix these issues. Even though some errors or dirty edits may be fine in 2011 Skyrim, these errors may break or cause other issues in Skyrim SE. You may want to use TES5Edit check-for-errors feature first. Watch out for plugins that edit waterflow, NPCs, or lighting.

Stick to simpler mods and realize some conversions may require practiced editing skills. If an author has long since disappeared, players may convert mods for personal use. If a plugin has multiple masters, don’t forget to edit CreationKit.ini under General section: "CreationKit.ini "

Mod author, Arthmoor, outlined changes for Skyrim SE on AFKmods: Mods depending on SKSE or SkyUI require advanced skills, and mods with dirty edits or other issues may need special attention. Many mods should convert without too much effort, but be aware that some mods may require extra editing. When transferring existing plugins from Skyrim 2011 to Skyrim Special Edition (SE), there are a few important changes to consider. For step-by-step examples, see “Convert Black Sacrament Armor to SE” and “Update Meshes for Skyrim SE”. Beginners should consider trying some Creation Kit tutorials first. This article assumes the reader has basic knowledge of mod creation. Skyrim Frostfall and Survival Armor Edit for Warmth Show Your Tail With Campfire Cloak In Skyrim Skyrim SE - XPMSSE: Modify Weapon Positions The creators obviously know they buggered it up since they turned off comments in a hissy fit instead of actually taking on the criticism and giving people both options.Convert Black Sacrament Armor to SE Step-by-Step Seriously, if they wanted to add the feature, fine, but don't bugger up how it's worked for years, and even if you do, actually complete the program and don't expect the user to fiddle with it so it works themselves. Frankly, i don't think it's worth trawling through files and command lines to try and fix a program so it works when it is far more simple to just use an older version. why the hell it's trying to rename a plugin I don't know. Now i move to a new computer, and SSE, try to download the TESVedit equivalent, and they've created one useless launcher that just sarcastically tells you that you are doing it wrong, and then another that tries to do far too much and has failed twice to 'rename a plugin'. about a two minute process, if that, per mod. It was always just open it up, apply filter on one mod and screen for ITMs. Many mods need their dirty edits, but not their ITMs. I don't want to automatically run through the mod multiple times buggering about with it. Just want to insure the most up to date information is made available.

Note: there are still two manual edits that must be made to Dawnguard, the afk guide is still good for that and is covered towards the bottom of the guide.

Section 5.3.2 of the Tome of 圎dit has instructions for setting it up for non-MO2 users.įor MO2 in the Modify Executables dialogue for your 圎dit you would add -autoquickclean -iknowwhatimdoing to the arguments field. I have cleaned the masters a number of times with the new method and it works as intended. It is easier and faster, it automatically applies the filter for cleaning, cleans itm and udr, saves and then repeats twice more for a total of three passes. It seems that the 4.0.x versions of 圎dit -AutoQuickClean is the preferred method for cleaning the master files. Even though I only posted the second guide a couple weeks ago I should say that I now think it is actually outdated.
